The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, in partnership with Bucheon, a UNESCO Creative City of Literature, presents this collection of "goedam" from all around the world."Goedam", or strange and scary tales, is already establishing itself as a distinct project that is unique to the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. As one of BIFAN's key projects, the "Goedam Campus" project is composed of the "Goedam Creation Support" program, the "Goedam Archive", and other programs for the public.Since 2020, the Goedam Archive has been collecting goedam into books. In 2020, 9,373 stories were collected from around the world through industry-university cooperation, and from these, 20 web-based goedam were selected and published into our first collection. In 2021, 30 Korean goedam were collected from books with the support of various publishing companies, and published into a collection called Selected Short Goedam.For this year's collection, the Goedam Archive collaborated with the UNESCO Creative Cities Network to gather goedam from 14 authors from 10 cities in 7 countries. Each story is rich with the unique history and cultural traditions of these various cities. The collection includes stories about a dead grandfather creating an uproar, a neighbor's suspicious parcels piling up in the living room, happenings around a house that no longer exists, and a frightening encounter with a mythical being, and is available for free as an e-book.
